I bought my daughter some earrings and she's away in college. So I sent them and she didn't like it and went to the store to exchange or return them and they asked her for the receipt, it was in the box, they asked her for my card, she said it was a gift it's from my mom, they asked her whats my SS number?
Of course she will not have that. She called me I didn't pick up due to working. They didn't nothing for her they said Sorry, we need all the info, but They Had The Receipt!!! My daughter's upset so she sends it back to me by mail.
I took it to the Kay's here and they told me I only had 30 days and I'm a day late sorry no return only exchange, I looked around but they don't have any gold really so I told her just give me store credit then! She told me NO, this is the worse place to buy a gift.
I asked for a district manager to call me almost 3 weeks ago, still no call!!! Don't do it, I would definitely not recommend them to anyone...

I took a chain I bought for my husband as an anniversary present and the repair was terrible! Not only did they remove an inch from the chain they never called to ask if that was ok.
They depreciated the value of the chain and shared $250 to do that. Im blown away I escalated my issue because the clerk referred to a $3000 gold chain as being similar to a tin can that cannot be repaired well after we returned to pick up the repaired item and verbalized not being happy with it. They did nothing!! They took our money and said that's the best we can do.
Do yourself a favor go anywhere but Kay Jewelers. They have no interest in making their customers happy.

False advertising
I tried to purchase this item, Heart-Shaped Lab-Created Ruby & White Lab-Created Sapphire Gift Set Sterling Silver during the sale price time at $49.99. You was out of stock.
So, I requested that you let me know when it came in. When it came in the sale was off, but, since I requested it during the sale era, I should’ve gotten it at the sale price, but, you didn’t honor that, so if I still want it I would have to pay the full price of $150. I don’t believe that is fair to me. You should honor the price as advertised when I requested it.
It’s not my fault that your stores didn’t carry the item that you advertised, and I check all the Kay jewelers in my area. This is not good customer service, and is bad for business.

I have been a customer for over 20 years and have spent alot of money with Kay Jewelry. My inspection was out of date and i lost two Diamonds in my ring.
So we were quoted approximately 1200 for repairs but the sales manager said that was retail not cost. I need the price of the repair in writing so we can approve it and move forward. Depending on how this is handled we may choose to use another loyal jeweler going forward as this is not being handled professionally at all. The account is under Keith Nelson and Jennifer Chuley.
This is my wedding ring that has been in Kays hand s and as of the day the repair went up to 1,400. Doesn't seem like they are trying to keep my business! I will be looking into some local family owned jewlers from now on and people don't forget who's Kays sister companies because the reviews are just as bad.
I had a friend who had her ring weighed after and it was under the weight that she was told and paid for! Buyer do your homework so you don't get screwed!!!
