Kay Jewelers - Repair Review from West Hartford, Connecticut
I had a bad experience with kays and will never go back. I brought my bracelet in for repair on January 3rd,2016 it came back to the store on the 23rd of January I wanted to look at my bracelet and their associate accidentally broke the chain I saw that the bracelet wasn't fixed to my liking so therefore it had to go back to repair the manager assured me they would cover the cost of the shame that they broke and put a rush on my order.
Two weeks later on February 6th I went back to the store to find out that no repairs were done but the manager assured me he had talked to the repair company the day before and went over exactly what I wanted done. I want to the store again on February 17th bracelet still not in I told the manager I didn't feel I should have to pay for the full cost of the repair because this is taking way too long and I am very upset. He told me not to worry when the bracelet came in he can certainly give me the repairs at cost. I want to Kays again on March 2nd to pick up the bracelet and the same manager went back on his word and said he did not agree to give me the repairs that cost and therefore sent me on my way with a gift certificate to Kays $100 off a 300 purchase and $57.00 off the repair.
Did they really think after putting me off for two months with going back and forth to the store because they never communicated with me that I would actually shop there again?
? 20 years I did business with Kays never had an experience like this but I can tell you after today I will never go there I will never shop there and I will be sure to tell all of my friends exactly what happened to me because maybe then it won't happen to someone else.
